We want to hear your suggestions....

Please drop a line or two if you have fantastic ideas on landscaping our area - it can be any part of Sri Mahligai actually.

Excuse me of being out of topic. I am sure all residents would have received copy of letter dated 17-12-2008 written by En. Mohd Jawahir of 19-3C to JMB chairman Tuan Haji Tumut on Water Charge.

I believe that En. Mohd Jawahir is either not aware or is mis-informed about the process of migration from Bulk Meter to Individual Meter.

The links provided at the end of this piece may help a bit to clarify the issue. I hope all resident will try read the articles so as to be informed on this matter concerning us all. We all want fair deal, and I am sure most (if not all) of us will be very happy if we can get the same water charge rates as other landed residential rates.

Being involved in the building industry, I must inform En. Mohd Jawahir and every resident here that migration from Bulk Meter to Individual Meter is NOT a simple or easy matter, because Syabas had made it quite complicated and difficult, even for newly completed buildings.

Please note that among the pre-conditions for migration are: (a) Each and every resident must agree [presumably to jointly sign agreement document]; and (b) There must be no arrears, i.e. no money owing to Syabas. So, if En. Mohd Jawahir and other residents act the same manner by not settling the current water bills, which are charged at RM1.39 per cubic metre, where would JMB find the money to pay Syabas? Don't forget that JMB cannot afford not to pay, because Syabas may cut water supply for the whole Sri Mahligai if JMB don't settle Syabas bill. This had happened to some other condo/apartment.

Everyone must know that before we have successfully migrated to Individual Meter, we have the obligation to pay the water bills based on current charges. I know it is unfair, compared to the landed property owners in Selangor, but this is the reality. If we as residents don't pay, who is to pay for us?

To the committee members of JMB, I would urge you to initiate the process of migration from Bulk Meter to Individual Meter. Maybe convening a residents' meeting would be a good start, when all the facts can be laid bare for everyone to know. I am mindful that we may not be able to trace the owner of some units, but lets leave it to the next stage of this process.

1. Thank you very much tooang for the explanation and information. I hope your explanation has helped everyone to understand the need for us to give consent for the water migration.

2. For your information JMB has sent out a letter to all units in the middle of May this year to get consent for the water migration.

3. As to date only 15% of owners have given their consent.

4. In view of the situation, JMB's next step is to send a second letter to units that have not given out their consent.

5. We need cooperation from all residents to notify owners (if you are not the owner) regarding this matter, if we all want a migration.

assalamualaikum...

Dear JMC, I would like to suggest the open space between block 16 and 17 turned into a playground to replace the existing playground which is in vicinity of a cliff, a pool, slippery tiles and the main road. It is not safe and space is limited.

That land between block 16 & 17seems big enough, away from the main road, no watery activities and feels much safer. At least the size alone could makeup for a decent looking playground with fences.

Thank you again Eddy. We were actually toying with the idea, now that you brought it up we will discuss it in the next JMC meeting.

My 2 ideas;
1)Please reopen the gymnasium. Basic cardio and exercise equipments are sufficient
2)We should have cover carpark and the cost to build devide 50/50

To bloggers,

Why do you have to review the comments before publish? Are you afraid of the complaints and wants to hide it from the rest of the residents?

Bumblebee, we will bring up your suggestion in the next JMC meeting. Thank you.

No, we are not afraid of complaints. If we do, we woudn't be bothered to set up this blog in the first place. So far we have not hide anything. Thank goodness! But we don't quite like surprises. Our stress level is at the moment...ok (hope to keep it that way).
