Get healthy people!


Everyone agrees that exercise is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. By doing exercise regularly, it has been said time and again by many (including NHS UK) that it helps to maintain our overall fitness and it lowers the risk of many life threatening conditions. And, if you do it regularly it is said that you will live longer and you improve your quality of life.

How can we do it? At Sri Mahligai we are fortunate that we have the swimming pool, the badminton court, the tennis court (now a futsal court?) and most recently just reopen the GYM! Yes, the GYM! Oh, ok you may have seen it and we have got like 3 equipments plus 1 miserable sit-up bench. Oh, ok you may have signed up with other gyms. But for those who have not...hear this...

You have to book the gym one day in advance and what is more fascinating is you can only use the gym 2 HOURS PER WEEK! I know, so much for long life and healthy lifestlye. You said it is always occupied? I can see from my bedroom window that no one is using it MOST OF THE TIME. Is it suppose to be a show room?

They said its house rules...MC which rules are you referring to? I have the same set of rules...

Blog going independent


When JMB started sri mahaligai condo blog it was meant to be informative and transparent. Residents could also provide feedbacks and comments - a discussion forum rather. Since, MC (management corporation) took over it appears inactive or dormant. None of the MC seems to bother.

Lets hear it from the community. Do you think we should continue? Sambung? Why? Kenapa?

PAINTING WORK IS IN PROGRESS

1. The second guard house has been painted with a different colour scheme. This colour scheme is based on The Nomad's in Bangsar. What do you think?



2. Block 17 residents please take note! Painting of the COMMON AREAS is expected to begin on 1st July 2009 (Wed). Rotol (contractor) will work from the top most floor, then moving down. The work is estimated to take about a month.

WE NEED YOUR VIEWS ON THE MOCK-UP


What do you think of the mock-up paint on the first guard house? Although Sri Mahligai is in a dire need of new paint, we have to remember the colour scheme of a condo can either increase or decrease the value of a property. As condo owners, we are pretty sure we do not want the value to fall.

Sri Mahligai is getting a new coat of PAINT


Starting next week 22nd June 2009, you will see some hive of activities in our condominium. On Monday we are expecting cabins coming in and they will be parked within the club house grounds. Next, 23rd June, we should witness a mock-up paint of the guard house. And soon after the first phase of the repainting work will commence. Gondolas and scaffolding will be part of us for the next 50 weeks or so.

WE NEED YOUR FULLEST COOPERATION TO ENSURE THE WORK WILL BE DONE SMOOTHLY WITHOUT ANY GLITCHES. ANY INCONVENIENCE CAUSED WITHIN THE PERIOD IS DEEPLY REGRETTED.

Snippet: water meter migration

1. End of December 2008, 15% owners agreed to the water meter migration.

2. As of today (29th January 2009), total of 18% owners have given their 'yes' to the migration. Folks, SYABAS say we need 100% "YES" from owners - not tenants.

3. We have set 14th Feb. 2009 (Saturday) as the day when SYABAS will be giving a talk on the migration to 'Sri Mahligaians'. Please keep your calender free on that day.
